How do you make a Tee Shirt?

1) First we make a design on our nice

Macintosh G5 Computer.

2) Then we print out the design,

seperated by color onto a special

paper called a "vellum."

3) That vellum is then run through our

dryer to darken the ink on the paper.

4)  We then put the vellum on our light table.

It has safety lights for viewing, and then

the flourescent tubes in the middle hit

the paper with UV light.

5)  Our screens are covered with a photo

emulsion and first dryed on a rack before

we can use them.

6)  Once the screen is dry we put the

vellum under it and expose it on the

light table.

7)  The screen is then sprayed with a

chemical to wash away the emulsion

where the design will be.

8)  It must be dried in front of a fan.

*Just a regular fan-no pictured needed : )

9)  The screen is then clamped in on

one of our carousels...

and then aligned on the registration board.

We then choose a nice color from our

vivid array of inks : )

(Jackson Pollock eat your heart out!)

10)  The board is then sprayed with a mild

adhesive and then the shirt is aligned on the board.

Then comes the squeegie!

11)  The ink must be cured in our dryer, to

make sure it will last FOREVER.

Notice the high temperature to ensure the

quality of the print.

After the shirt rolls out of the dryer conveyer,

it's ready to be sold.

*Of course this is the "abridged" screen

printing process, but it all follows this basic

procedure.
